We’ve had a great start to a new school year. I am pleased to be back at Timothy, and am very pleased to see so many familiar faces returning to the band program.

Each member of band should have received several handouts. First is our grading policy for the school year. Each student earns a grade in band by accumulating points in several categories.

Part of each student’s grade is individual practice outside of class. Practice Charts must be filled out and turned in every week. Information regarding this policy is always available on this website under Practice Charts.

Also important are our concerts for the school year. All performances are mandatory, so please get the dates on your family’s calendar ASAP.

Mr. Pelt

Congratulations to the participants in the Fine Arts Festival. The 1st place winners were the Mozart Quintet of Julia Pattison, Ana DeJong, Abby Helmus, Chelsea Bardolph, and Will Roelofs.

Second place was awarded to the clarinet duet of Abby Helmus and Julie Schram.

Ana DeJong also won 3rd place for her oboe solo, and a horn quartet won 4th place with Vesper Moods.
